Elementary Grades TK-5

At SCCS, our elementary program is designed to help students grow as God-centered learners while developing a strong foundation in academics, creativity, and character. Our classrooms are engaging, challenging, and Christ-centered, encouraging students to think critically, explore deeply, and grow in wisdom and knowledge.

Students experience hands-on, project-based learning that helps them retain knowledge, stay motivated, and make meaningful connections across subjects. Our STEAM program—Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics—invites students to learn by doing, connect ideas, work together, and think creatively.

We also provide enrichment experiences such as immersive science labs, PE, art, technology, and Greek and Latin studies, giving students opportunities to explore their interests and build 21st-century skills. Collaborative and cooperative learning experiences are carefully designed to be developmentally appropriate and research-based.

Character development is a key part of our program. Students are encouraged to grow a compassionate heart that serves others, participate in purposeful service learning, and embrace a growth mindset, shifting from “I can’t” to “I haven’t figured it out yet.”

Finally, students have the opportunity to learn beyond the classroom through field trips, service projects, and mission opportunities, helping them see God’s world in action and understand their role as lights for Christ.

Through hands-on learning and exploration, elementary students will develop critical and creative thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and a lasting excitement for learning.
