Let’s Get Ready for the 2025–2026 School Year!

To help students stay sharp and confident as they transition into their new grade level, our SCCS teachers have thoughtfully prepared math practice, writing suggestions, summer reading ideas, and fun academic activities to prepare your child for the grade he/she will enter in the 2025–2026 school year.

Research shows that students can lose up to 30% of what they learned during the school year if learning stops over summer—a phenomenon known as the “summer slide.” By engaging in regular review and practice, students can retain key skills and even get a head start on the year ahead.
