Hello, I’m Erin Duncan and I have always had a passion for working with children Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on YoungLife staff, coaching, and most recently teaching in San Diego. These experiences have shaped me into the teacher I am today and strengthened my love for helping students grow academically, socially, and spiritually. I graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.A. in Education and a minor in Child Development. I went on to earn my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Point Loma as well. My approach to teaching is centered on making learning both relevant and fun, while creating a family-like environment in the classroom. I believe in loving God first and then one another as we learn, always keeping the mindset that we are lifelong learners—continuing to grow and discover together. Outside of the classroom, I coach cheer, love spending time with my husband, family, friends and most importantly my pets. I also enjoy the simple joys of life, like spending my mornings with a good cup of coffee and reading a great book. I am so excited for the upcoming school year and look forward to building a classroom community rooted in love, growth, and faith. I cannot wait to get to know my students and see all that God has planned for us as we learn together!
