Hi everyone! My name is Mandy Montoya, and I am incredibly excited to be teaching TK at SCCS this year! I earned my bachelor's degree and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Vanguard University. I then moved to Spain to teach English to students preschool through 6th grade. I gained extensive experience working with English Learners and received my certification for teaching English as a foreign language. My approach to teaching is emphasizing a growth mindset, living in the joy and love God showers over us, and always being prepared and flexible when plans change! A few things I love to do outside of the classroom are traveling, scrapbooking, and reading. Singing and dancing are also my passion, so I do a lot of that in the classroom as well. I look forward to getting to know each of my incoming students and families as we embark on a learning journey together!
